Pit-Fights
A popular sport to watch and bet on, these places can be found attached to gambling dens or the roughest whore-houses. Sometimes they are simple holes in the ground or a painted cirle in an alley way. Higher class Pits are more novel, sometimes in the form of cages, suspended bridges, moving floors, and seat-sided rings and stages. Rules varey, but variety and blod is the main aim. Fighters may fight naked, clothed or armoured, with bare-fists, blades, blugeons, chain-weapons or power-weapons. They might fight to first hit, first blood, submissions, knock-out or death. Big money can be made for the winner. Pit-fights cater for all levels of society with rules and ornamental variations to suit the clientels' tastes.
Whores
Usually attached to gambling dens, these men, women an children make money from dancing, stripping, peep-shows and various types of sexual activity. Depending on location, clientel and social level, whores can be bought for a mere credit or cost over 1000. Whores can also be bought as permanent house-slaves. These people could have entered their subjection "willingly" (so as to survive) or have been kidnapped or sold and force to work by a pimp, madam or slaver. Whores are a useful source of information as well as pleasure, but many are diseased.
Clubs
Also known as gambling dens these places vary in quality, clientel and the type of amusment offered. generally these plces have a variety of chance and skil games through which people gamble. Money, weapons and lives can be the stakes. The rich come here for thrills and the poor through desparation. Some clubs are fixed, some allow min/max betting, some are very big and selll lots of various drugs, whores and have pit-rings. Others are makeshift stalls in back streets and basements. All tastes and purses are catered for throughout the levels. Typcailly they are found by tubes and roads between the levels or in the centre of hab build-ups.
Snuff-Houses
A variation on the club, snuff-houses are often more expensive with a more dangerous atmosphere. Snuff-Houses cater for degenerate tastes. Spectacles of torture, violent sex, killings and mass killings and deviant freakshows take place here. Two examples are as follows:
Adolphuses hanging-bar
The hugely obese owner Adolphus precides here. He lives day to day on a floating antigrav platform as he is too bloated to move on his own atrophied limbs now. He controls it with a little pink and ring covered fat hand. Attached to this bed-chair are his sex slaves and dancers on neck chains. Adolphuses favourite pass time is the purchasing of beautiful unspoilt boys, often from very rich families (as their children are undiseased). But Adolphus is rich himself as he caters for the upper classes. These boys are taken to a central platfom where they are hung from the neck at the climax of a sudden rising cresendo of frantic, crazy music. When the neck snaps a common occurance during hanging takes place. The boy twitches violently, evacuating his bowls and spraying seamen into the air. Adolphus likes to position strong strange lighting behind this sudden spurt of fluid to create a rainbow effect as it goes through the air. The crowds at the Hanging Bar adore this sickening spectacle and fight each other the catch the dead semen in their mouths. Psychedelic drugs and casual sex in the booths that encircle the gold-gilt Gallows are commonplace.
Speed
Speed is a dangerous club. Catering mainly to the under classes it plays extremely loud music with ultra fast constant beats (around 500 beats per minute) whilst intense industrial noises and piercing scretches appear at random intervals over the electronic beats. Strobe lights flash in time with the beats and gangs dance their, their minds bent by the music and the strange concotions of stimulants and psychoactives that are served at the bar. Vioence is frequent and gun-fights explode on the dance floor, the rattle of guns masked by the loud bass and the flashes of shots mixing in with the strobes. Often dancers don't even realise this is going on until they get hit.
The owner, Hotek, as designed this club so as to incite violence. Everynight turns into a blood bath for the delectation of a hidden audience watching from behind the strobes above. Hotex allows rich clients in the know to pay to sit in this small secluded room above the dance floor, hidden from the crowd by two way mirrors to watch the mass violence below.
