Confrontation

A cyber-gothic role-playing game for mature players.

Nomads

This Nomad family is a close-knit group who distrust outsiders to the point of paranoia and hatred. The Nomads care for and savagely avenge their own kind.

These Nomads call themselves "The Free People" and consider themselves above the Hivers who are condemned to their restricted lives behind protective barriers. The Nomads have travelled to most Hives in the Palatine Cluster. they have various exotic weapons and tech. Furthr, they have information from the Temenos Hive to deliver to the Ministorum here. Travelling with them is a Confessor who gives them validity and sanction and holds this information. However, this Confessor has been ritually harmd and indoctrinated by the Nomads on their way here. The Confessor, deranged and broken, hopes to convert the Ministorum to the Nomads religion this is the "information". (Whatever original message the Confessor had that was so important it had to be delivered in this manner, is now lost, forgotten.)

The Nomads understand that psykers are the new level of evolution for humanity. But they mistaken believe this with regards to Genetic Deviants also.

The Nomads also understand the seasons of the Ash Wastes and that a storm is on its way. Most importantly they know a way inot the forbidden City to a great store of Spook there, but one must navigate the Wastes to reach the entrance. The Nomads have the nececcsay equipment - Stillsuits, Power Canopies, Ash-tents, stilts and a Weather Radar.

The nomads are highly ritualistic and don't give a damn for Hivers. They see them as trapped and stupid. They are only interested in new tech, exotica and information. Only the Confessor is interested in converts.

The Nomads worship a great monster they call the Hydra that lives in the Forbidden City out in the Wastes where they have their Spook stash. The Nomads travel the Hives swopping the Spook for exotica. They will not sell the directions to the Spook cache, nor any of their (necessary and rare) equipment. They understand the value of Spook and jealously guard it. They consider the Ash Wastes and Forbidden City their own.

The Hydra

This monster may be an ancient machanical robot, a worthy piece of technology from the Age of Technology, or it may be a beast that has survived from past ages, hunting through the lower levels of the old, ruined, underground Spire.
